THE DRUMS Share "Blood Under My Belt" Video via Pitchfork

The Drums recently announced their return with "Abysmal Thoughts," their fourth album which will be released on June 16th via Anti-. Today the band shares the music video for the record's first single "Blood Under My Belt," a quintessential Drums song: a real heartbreaker disguised as a sunny track, showcasing frontman Jonny Pierce's masterful pop sensibility. Watch the music video via Pitchfork HERE or YouTube HERE.

I hate making music videos. But, alas, sometimes you need to feed the beast, and I decided to make a music video that explores some visual fetishes of mine - mainly sportswear and a new exploration of colors that I’ve long-loved but hadn’t been a part of the band’s aesthetic until now. I love this new era of The Drums because I’m allowed to express exactly what I want and take it all the way.
— Jonny Pierce on the making of the music video

Oxbow Shares Video for New Song "Other People" via NPR - Thin Black Duke Out 5/5 On Hydra Head

Legendary bay area experimentalists Oxbow have shared a video for new song “Other People,” an intense, slow-burning track from the band’s upcoming album Thin Black Duke. The video was directed by Chris Purdie, and premiered this morning via NPR who said “It’s nerve-chillingly beautiful, as Eugene Robinson croons and squeals and stutters and opens his soul wide to bark about the confusion of love and the bleakness of reality”. Thin Black Duke, the band’s first album in ten years, is out May 5th on Hydra Head.

Nite Jewel, aka Ramona Gonzalez, today shares the video for new single “The Answer” - the second offering from her upcoming album Real High, out May 5th via her own Gloriette Records. “'The Answer' explores the tension that occurs when fantasies fall away in the face of actuality,” Gonzalez says of the new track. “You're in this dream state and it's like you are fighting against wakefulness, not wanting to return to the harsh realities of now. The reality, which is, that you don't have what you want.
Nite Jewel will be performing May 20th at the Getty Center in Los Angeles before embarking on a European Tour through June. Album art, tracklist, tour dates, and more information below.
